OSG provides the device mediation function of Resource Order Management by performing the integration to elements and element management systems (NEMS) in the network.

Single Activation Gateway for Wireless Providers
OSG Access (OSGA) is a module to OSG which provides service order decomposition and command-building for OSS/BSS systems which do not use Optius. This brings the full speed and power of OSG to CSPs such as wireless service providers or divisions within a CSP who do not need the copper inventory and provisioning functionality of Optius.
OSGA eliminates the need for a separate network inventory system. Because OSG Access queries the network element itself, the inventory is never out-of-date.
OSG Access has high throughput because of the speed of OSG as well as the optimization provided by collapsing multiple subscriber requests into a single request for programming. Any external OSS/BSS can be interfaced with OSG Access through its own Mediation Device, thus providing all the advantages of real-time service order processing and activation.

OSG is in production at CSPs across North America in large and small scale CSPs.
Its small footprint and efficient implementation provides low resource use and high throughput so that OSG can scale from small to very large CSPs. A single OSG domain can process more than 500,000 requests per hour.

The comprehensive audit log eases troubleshooting as well as provides detailed information about OSG’s interaction with each network element and customer. This log is easily accessed through the intuitive and powerful log viewer UI.

Audit logs are retained for a user-specified length of time and then automatically purged. An audit log viewer with advanced filtering and search capabilities is included with the system.
