SaskTel International (SI) was awarded a contract to design, and construct a rural telecommunications network for the Kagera Region of Tanzania. SI proposed a point to multi-point solution for the Region to serve 12 communities along with outside plant distribution networks in each community. The project provided approximately 1500 access lines in the Kagera region.
This contract included the design, fabrication, supply, factory testing of equipment, transportation to sites, installation and construction (at different sites), spare parts, testing and commissioning and training of local staff.
